Santa's elves at the United States Post Office in North Pole, AK will open your outer envelope and stamp the inner one with the official North Pole postmark. (They don't have to open the inner envelope to get Santa's approval because he uses Christmas dust to see right through it and make sure you got everything right.) Then the United States Postal Service will make sure Santa's letter gets delivered to your favorite child.

Just be sure to give the elves at the post office plenty of time. They don't have magic flying reindeer, so be sure your Santa letter arrives in North Pole, Alaska by December 15 at the latest to make sure Santa's letter gets back to your favorite child before Christmas.
